The fixing bolt is a kind of fastener consisting of hexagon head and flange plate (the gasket below the hexagon is fixed with the hexagon) and screw (cylinder with external thread). It needs to be matched with the nut to fasten and connect two parts with through holes.
With the nut, the two parts are connected as a whole by threaded connection, which belongs to the detachable connection.
Bolt connection is a common connection method. However, in the process of agricultural machinery assembly, due to the influence of various factors or improper assembly, the bolts will always have failures such as thread slipping and fracture. In the process of on-site bolt assembly, it mainly involves factors such as bolt tightening angle, tightening additives, etc.
Mold manufacturer said that the influencing factors of bolt failure
The factors considered are: bolt tightening angle, use of grease and fastener, and tightening method.
(1) Tightening angle
In the field assembly of bolts, operators often use wrenches to tighten bolts. In this process, the rotation center of wrenches cannot be kept coincident with the bolt center, which affects the fastening effect and failure torque of bolts. Therefore, the tightening angle of bolts is a factor to be considered.
(2) The use of grease and fastener may require adding grease or fastener in bolt assembly under different working conditions. Therefore, the use of additives is also one of the factors that need to be considered in the bolt failure research test.
(3) Material of gasket
In different assembly positions, gaskets of different materials are sometimes required. Therefore, the material of gasket is also a factor that should be considered in the failure of bolted connection.
